St. Vincent's Charities services includes: adoption, regular & specialized foster care, family preservation (also known as parent aide), refugee resettlement, immigration law clinic, youth life skills, counseling services, transitional housing for homeless mothers (also known as Ballentine Stepping Stones) & housing support for homeless families, permenant housing for homeless with disabilities and medical/eye care assistance.The home for children includes a case planning unit which provides services for 26 youths, male & female, ages 5-17.  This is a short-term, 60 day program for youths whose current placement has been disrupted or is in danger of disruption.  A long-term residential program provides services for ten males, ages 10-17,  with serious emotional problems.
