The Mission is licensed by the Michigan Department of Health Center
for Substance Abuse Services. The program provides substance
abuse counseling, spiritual life classes, recreational activities
and transitional housing & shelter servies for men & women
at a number of facilities in the Detroit area. Genesis I, II,
& III are residential facilities for women & children.
The Christian Guidance Center is located in Highland Park.

Christian Guidance Center

The Christian Guidance Center is a 90-day residential treatment facility
for 86 chemically addicted adult men. The Center also provides transitional
housing for men. Outpatient services for 30 men & women who
have completed residential services is also offered for 30 to 90 days.

Detroit Rescue Mission Genesis II
2015 Webb Street, Detroit MI 48206

Genesis II serves 50 homeless women and their children. The program
also provides transitional housing for women. Services are provided primarily
to Detroit residents who either walk in or are referred. Referrals
are accepted from other social service agencies, police, churches and
the homeless hotlines. Services include case management, counseling,
child care while job or house hunting, housing placement, vocational services
and after care follow-up to prevent the return to homelessness.

Genesis III

Genesis III serves homeless and addicted women and their children.
The program accepts walk-ins and referrals from social service
agencies, the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, police, churches
and the homeless hotlines. Service options include licensed
and CARF certified substance abuse programs for addicted women. The
service also provides one year follow-up assistance to prevent the
return to homelessness.
