Website: www.guidance-center.org The Guidance Center is a private, non-profit human service agency providing a broad range of services to children, adolescents and adults. Services provided include outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment, early childhood programs and a work readiness program for adults. Community outreach includes the services of the Critical Incident Team, school-based services, after-school programs, prevention education and a school/community liaison. The Center of Excellence, a cornerstone concept in the Guidance Center's vision for tomorrow includes a dual focus on evaluation and training and is woven through every program developed by the Center. The Guidance Center- Southgate 15601 Northline, Southgate MI 48195, Phone (734) 785-7331 The Guidance Center in the Aquinas Building features extensive early childhood programs such as Head Start, Michigan School Readiness and Even Start. A juvenile justice program offers case management services for youth who have been adjudicated by the Wayne County Court and referred through the County's Juvenile Assessment Center. A Youth Assistance program and Day Treatment program are also offered. CORE, a unique work readiness program provides training, internships and job placement services for adults who have been unable to obtain or sustain employment. Locator Map & Directions
