The University Counseling and Testing Center, as a department within the Division of Student Affairs, exists to help students deal effectively with mental health concerns. The Center is staffed with professionally licensed counselors and psychologists and is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services. The following services are available to students of Western Michigan University: Screening, assessment, referral and follow-up, individual therapy, weekly support groups for students interested in exploring their relationship with alcohol and other mood-altering substances, ACA and Alcohol Highway Safety groups, education/prevention programs, continuing recovery assistance & aftercare.
